Ilse Jacobsen health spa, Kurbadet by Ilse Jacobsen, here in Hornbæk is #9 on the list! You will find it side by side with, among others the Henri Matisse exhibition ‘ The Cut Outs ‘ at the Tate Modern in London.

Congratulations to Ilse Jacobsen, who has invested heavily in opening a world class spa experience and is now being recognized for it. It’s good for Ilse , and it’s good for Hornbæk.
I went down to the spa to swim around in the heated pools during the holiday between christmas and the new year. The luxury experience starts at the front desk , where you get a beach bag with towel , bathrobe and flip-flops . In the dressing room are enclosed showers. You walk around in the sumptuous surroundings where art and flowers make the spa more than an ordinary spa. And on a winter cold day it is a wonderful experience to move into the warm water , especially if you do it after dark , when the hot water steams magically over the illuminated spa in the glow of candlelight and the outdoor fireplace. It is a place, you do not want to get out of.
I have yet to try the restaurant and the treatments. But I ‘ll be here !
